Totally cool.....Neon Glow Party

It that time of year for me and my house hold....
Birthday Party Season.

With 3 birthdays in April and May,
It is 2 of my favorite months of the year.

My oldest daughter Abby celebrated her
last year in the single digits....(tear)
a few weeks ago with a
super cool Glow in the Dark Neon party!

What started as a pretty simple
"just a sleepover" party, grew into one of my
favorite parties I have planned.

On with the party.....

I designed these invitations to set the scene
 for a fun night!

"Will you be Glowing?"

The girls were asked to come in there favorite
neon or white outfit so that they would
reflect the black lights!
Abby's BFF's.....

For the table, I used glittered hot pink scrapbook paper
for the placemats topped with the paper goods and glow stick
utensils.  The girls loved the utensils!

The table decor was kept simple with the addition of these
fun glow stick spheres.

I found these neon tambourines that my "party stylist" in the making
thought would make great coasters!
I think she was right!
Glow stick straws were added for fun!

The girls made flip flops with neon
fabric and puff paint.

After pizza and crafts, the girls headed upstairs to get there first look
at the party!  It was so fun to see there faces.
I wanted to be a kids again!

This is where the photography got a little tricky!
It is hard for a non-trained photographer to take glowing photographs.
I did my best!

Lots of black lighting made for a cool glow throughout the room.

Glow stick chandelier greeted the girls.

Grab a Bag and Let's glow!

The girls filled there beauty bags with
nail files, glow in the dark hand sanitizers,
neon sunglasses, neon socks, combs and more....

I was not finding the material that I liked for
backdrops so, I created two very fun backdrops myself.
First was a post note backdrop!
Seriously!
 Post it notes....

The second, was made from neon bowls!
I loved how it turned out.

The neon bowl backdrop was perfect for the sweets table!
Gumballs, cookies, neon gummy worms and
cotton candy on glow sticks...YUM!

The girls grabbed a sack filled it to the top!

The girls loved these cookies from the Cookie Jar!
She designed these just for Abby.

The girls danced the night away and sang karaoke
for the next few hours before it was time to cut the cake!

Beautiful cake from the outside....

to the inside.....

The girls continued the party back upstairs
'til the sugar rush wore off.

I had such a great night hanging out with these
beautiful girls!

Blood Orange Margaritas

It's Thursday...
Who needs a drink already?

I have the perfect summer drink for you!
Not to mention for the upcoming Cinco De Mayo Celebrations!

Blood Orange Margaritas
(serving size 1 or 2)

What you need:
3 oz. Blood Oranges (3 or 4 should do)
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Grand Mariner
1 oz. Lime Juice
Agave Nectar to taste
Fresca soda
Salt
Sugar
Slices of oranges to garnish
Mint

What to do:

1.  Juice your oranges by hand or with a handy juicer.
If you are making this for one or 2, 3 to 4 oranges is fine.
If you are making for a crown about 12 oranges equals 1 quart.

2.  Combine orange juice, tequila, triple sec, and a squeeze of agave nectar
into a cocktail shaker.  Add ice and shake for about 15 seconds.

3.  Mix equal parts of salt and sugar on a plate for rimming the glass.

4.  Rub the rim of the glass with an orange slice and dip into the rimming
     salt and sugar mixture.

5.  Add ice to the glass and pour your drink from your cocktail shaker.

6.  Add a splash of Fresca soda to the top

7.  Garnish with a mint leaf and an orange

There are so many things to love about this drink....
Fresh Juices
Agave Nectar to sweeten naturally
and I love the Salty and Sweet Rim!

If you are making these for a crowd follow these amounts
1 quart blood oranges juiced - about 12 oranges
1 1/2 cups of lime juice - about 12 limes
3 1/2 cups tequla
1 1/2 cups tripe sec
fresca to taste
splash of fesca to each drink to top

Kickin' Soccer Party

Soccer season is starting and there is no better time to share
my daughters end of the season Soccer Party from the fall!

These little Bees were great this season!
They played there little heats out for an Undefeated season!
GO BEES!

Us soccer moms planned a laid back party with pizza, cupcakes, and
time for the girls to just be girls and play for once!

I planned the dessert table was fun to design
and as sweet as the girls themselves!

I designed the printables
black, white and pops of yellow to match our team name.

The girls snacked on
Cupcakes....

Cake Pops....

White Chocolate Popcorn in self serving yellow chevron bags....

White Chocolate Oreos were dressed up with
candy soccer balls and arranged on a place mat of artificial grass!
These were definitely my favorite!

I wrapped the drink glasses with black sequin ribbon and attached
a party circle!  All girls need a little bling right?!

Water bottle labels and a Banner....

The girls were all sugared up and left in the hands of the hostess!
Now that was a long night...Sorry Nicole!
Maybe next time we will do a Fruit and Veggies themed table!
No way!

Hope you enjoyed the party!
